| Basic background |
| A fiery Italian by blood and heart, Alessandra was born in Europe's "boot", then dragged to London by her ambitious, intelligent muggle mother, Eva. In London, Eva quickly established a law firm and remarried a plain (but wizarding) English bloke, and basically left Alessandra to her own devices. The girl--reading her stepfather's Daily Prophets and other materials--got it into her head that the life of a pureblood elitist was glamorous, and the definite way to go. From age ten onward, she avidly rehashed her "life's story" to fall in line with the stories of the wealthy elite, and when she was later sent to Hogwarts for school, passed herself off as a pureblood and was able to do so thanks to her extensive, obssessive research. |
| Basic personality |
| Pride plays a big part in Alessandra's life: it figures in the way she treats others, the way she regards herself, the way she walks and talks and breathes. But as haughty as she seems, her demeanor simply masks a deep-seated insecurity and fear that someday, someone will figure out she's been masquerading as someone she's not. Having soaked in her mother's competitive ways, Alessandra tends to regard other girls as rivals, and boys as pawns to get one-up on said rivals. She makes few deep, true friends, preferring nominal "alliances" with wealthy, elite housemates. At her best, she is determined, sweetly seductive, and self-controlled. At her worst, she is skanky, snotty, and easily blinded by her desires. |
| Relationships |
The closest person she has to a friend right now is Edward (![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} edwart_stjames), which is quickly developing into some odd sort of infatuation, which frightens her greatly...she can't remember the last time she genuinely liked a bloke, having only "used" them in the past. Other friends include Adrien ( adrienbennet) and Sadie (sadieawkright). Most of Gryffindor house and virtually all of Hufflepuff can be counted as enemies, though in an obscure way, so are her housemates...she retains some sort of love-hate regard for them. |
| The future |
| Alessandra aspires to marrying into a powerful pureblood family, but what she will actually get is probably a politician in the Ministry. Never a fan of children, Alessandra would despise a family, and will be content simply to manage a husband's social life via parties and events, as well as juggle several extramarital lovers on the side...perhaps dabble in Ministry business herself. Who knows? |
